Chris Benz stuck to his signature sherbet-y hues for spring. Mmm…sherbet. His collection was pretty likeable, with really fun colors (is it me or are the colors designers are using this season more interesting? They’re more…unique and quirky) and loose, light shapes. He showed loose pants cut above the ankle, military-inspired jackets, and (maybe my favorite piece) two-toned silk shorts. His real talent is in taking historical references and making them totally modern (as opposed to costume-y). Spring’s show was inspired by “Revolutionary War-era dressing”, but he never sacrificed modern wearability for the concept. Oh, and I loved the feathery details. There was no sign of Msr. Benz’s famous pieced dresses and tops, though.

These shoes are freaking awesome.
