Suffer for Fashion

This is Joanne Reyes’ first show, and I’m mildly in approval. Some of the dresses were really pretty, others made my eyes glaze over. I’m not a big fan of pastel colors, but that’s just personal preference. And some of the other looks (a grey buttoned-up coat, for one) looked a little loose in the wrong places, which made the models look a little chunky. Everything was fairly demure, with lengths falling around the knees instead of around the crotch and many looks had fairly high necklines. My favorite pieces were the dresses with petal-like embellishments. Those were very nice. The main feeling I got from it all was that was all very easy. Nothing tried to hard, and the best parts were the subtle details. All in all, a brand to look out for. I predict that her designs will only get better with time.

A couple more:

It reminds me a little of a labcoat...
