For such a small person (no wait, scrap that, for any person) I can RALLY when it comes to food, and this week was no exception. New York has definitely been a chance for me to try some really great restaurants. Tonight, I went to Kyotofu, an absolutely delicious Japanese dessert bar and restaurant. Everthing was amazingly delicious! I was a big fan of the pigs in a duvet, the soymilk ice cream sundae, the barbequed unagi, the chicken and tofu sliders, and the black sesame sweet tofu. Ok, so I loved everything. And the bakery delivers!! I mayyy be getting some scrumptious baked goods shipped out to California…
We were in Brooklyn hanging out with the super cool Jon and Pam from Market Publique (they were giving us an insider’s tour of Brooklyn!), and we passed by this:
Isn’t that sweeet?!?! A Weardrobe sticker sighting! We got a huge kick out of it.

Yay, managed to snap a quick photo while waiting for the subway back to our East Village apartment. I’ve been so busy these past few days that none of us have been taking outfit pictures. Mostly I’ve been freezing, because the East Coast is bitterly cold. I realize my Fendi sandals were a terrible choice for the day, but my feet hurt so badly after wearing difficult shoes and running all around the city shopping all weekend I decided to go for comfort over style. Obviously. I really should have worn more layers, though. (Oh, and I am now attached permanently to my new iPhone, because it is a LIFESAVER.) Ok, must run, I have lots more shopping and tons of work and meetings and puppy shopping to prep for!

I’ve done a fair amount of shopping this weekend. Yesterday I spent FAR, FAR too much money. More money than I’ve ever spent in one day shopping. Yes. Got some absolutely amazing things, both for the Weardrobe Closet and for my closet. I’m now sitting in Aroma working away. My shoulders are killing me (I lugged my computer all over the city yeterday shopping. It was terrible) and I desperately want to run around the corner to Barney’s. When I’m not going absolutely insane with the amount of work I have, I’ll post pictures of my glorious finds!
We landed in New York earlier this afternoon, after a super early morning flight (yeah, I haven’t slept in a couple days) and headed straight for the apartment we rented and a good meal. I went to Brooklyn for the first time to see a gallery opening at The Future Perfect. My boss’s friend Hugh was showing his super fun and comfy chairs in the Hue Are You? exhibit. It was pretty cool, although I was incredibly disconcerted by the fact that I was the most colorfully dressed person there (everyone does wear black here). And we got to visit my boss’s adorable puppy Moe, who continually shed all over my black pants. But he’s just so adorable, you couldn’t possibly be angry at him.
Lots of work to do, we’re going to be doing a lot of shopping tomorrow, but it’s good to be back in the Big Apple!

So I finally caved and got an iPhone. Apple continues to own my soul. But, this means I can blog on my phone. We’ll see how it goes. I’m still struggling with twitter. I’m too old to learn new tricks.
I’m not sure if I mentioned this, but Weardrobe was a finalist in the SXSW Interactive Accelerator. This morning (well, it was morning for me), we demo-ed the site in front of a panel of judges in the social networking category. And…WE WON!!!!! We’ve beeen working so, so hard for the competition (I woke up this morning after 2 hours of sleep, and I couldn’t even stand up straight), and we were incredibly excited for it. The past week has been pretty exhausting, as I was “studying” for finals and prepping for Austin, but I am so incredibly relieved, excited, and proud of all our hard work. And we’re leaving for New York on Friday morning!! It’s all very exciting. Hopefully I will survive this week for that….
MY NEW RICK OWENS SWEATER CAME!!!!!! I was so afraid it wouldn’t come in time for me to bring it to New York, but thankfully it came right in time! It is kind of the most amazing thing ever. It has leather sleeves, which are soooo amazing, and it’s super long in the back (partly because I’m so ridiculously short) and billows like a cape. I kind of feel like Death when I wear it. Or like I’m from the Matrix. It makes me giddy with happiness. It’s also super holey and furry and warm, like wearing a giant blanket. Actually, it pretty much is wearing a giant blanket. If I liked loved Rick Owens before, now I’m completely and totally infatuated. This sweater actually makes my heart beat faster.
